Well, it seems the peaceful pond scene took an unexpected turn this morning/afternoon/evening. Our little friend/neighbor/resident, a rather plump green anole/lizard/skink found himself stuck fast in one of the pipes leading to the pond's filter. It get more info was quite a sight - he was wiggling/flailing/scuttling about, clearly confused/stressed/alarmed. Thankfully, we were able to carefully remove him before he could get injured/do any damage/cause a commotion. He seems fine/okay/unharmed now and is back to enjoying the sunshine/shade/warmth of his usual habitat/perch/spot.

A tiny sea turtle named Shelly found herself in a horrible situation. She had strayed too far from the shore and got stuck in a narrow crack in the rocks.
